Original 1941 recipe
Verbatim from "Good, cheap daily fare" (1941) – frugal wartime cooking.

Spiny dogfish cleaned, salted for 1–2 days, then dried and smoked, boiled in pieces or whole, skinned and served with parsley butter or parsley sauce. From Henriette Schønberg Erken's «God, billig dagskost» (1941).

Salt and smoke
Clean the fish all round, wash it, sprinkle salt over and under, and leave it thus for 1–2 days. Wash, dry and smoke it.
Boil
Boil it in fairly large pieces, or it can be boiled whole. Skin it before serving.
Serve
Nothing is better than butter with parsley alongside, but if that is not possible, use parsley sauce.
