1. About the service

Erken-arkivet is a cultural outreach project that makes Henriette Schønberg Erken's works available, together with modernisations and editorial material. By using the website, you accept these terms.

2. Source works and copyright

• Erken's own works are in the public domain and may be reproduced freely.
• Facsimiles are drawn from the National Library of Norway's digitised editions and shown with source attribution.
• Modernisations, categorisation, articles and other editorial material are prepared by the Erken Archive. You may use this material for personal, non-commercial use with clear source attribution. For any other use, please get in touch.

3. User account

• You are responsible for providing correct information and for keeping your password safe.
• You must be old enough to enter into an agreement, or have consent from a guardian.
• You can delete your account at any time.

4. User contributions

When you share your own interpretations, photos or other content, the following applies:

• You keep the copyright to your own contribution, but grant us a licence to display, store and share it on the website in connection with the relevant recipe.
• You warrant that you have the right to share the content, and that it does not infringe others' rights or privacy.
• All user content may be moderated. We may reject or remove content, and display it publicly only once it has been approved.

5. Prohibited use

• Unlawful, offensive, misleading or rights-infringing content
• Attempts to breach security, scrape data at scale or disrupt operations
• Commercial exploitation of editorial material without an agreement

6. Disclaimer

The content is offered “as is”, for information and inspiration. Many recipes are historical. Older methods of conservation, preserving, canning and storage do not necessarily meet today's food-safety requirements. Always assess ingredients, hygiene and shelf life according to current recommendations. Use of recipes and advice is at your own risk, and we are not liable for loss or damage resulting from such use, so far as the law permits.

7. Changes to the terms

We may update the terms. The current version is always available here, with the date of the latest change at the top.

8. Governing law and disputes

The terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes will be sought resolved amicably, and otherwise fall under the Norwegian courts.
