Mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder, crumble in the butter or good fat, and add the milk or the beaten egg.
Roll out the dough 1 cm thick and cut it to the shape of the pan; bake until light golden brown.
Mix the grated or ground curd with the apple sauce, or with the soaked, cooked, cooled dried apples that have been sweetened to taste.
Spread this fruit mass over the cooled cake base.
You can lay finger-wide strips of the dough over the apple mass, as on a Napoleon's hat (fyrstekake). Bake until light brown.
