The bread without crusts, or the rusk, is soaked in the milk and worked smooth.
The eggs are beaten quickly, only until the yolk and white are combined, mixed with the bread, and the sugar and salt are added.
Fry like an omelette in a pan on top of the stove and serve with jam. Some prefer honey or syrup.
