Cut the meat into fairly coarse strips.
Crush all the bones a little and put them over the heat with about 6 dl of water; let simmer for about an hour.
Brown the fat with the flour, thin with the strained stock, bring to a boil, add the spices, and warm the cut-up meat in the sauce, but it should not stand and boil.
Small or cut-up fish balls can be carefully mixed into the meat.
1 or 2 hard-boiled eggs are cut with an egg slicer; these egg slices are placed around the edge of the dish when serving.
If you use bread for thickening, cook the bread slices with a little of the stock and press them through a sieve into the fat. Perhaps a little coloring in the sauce.
