The bread is grated, brought to a boil in the milk and butter, and cooked while stirring into a firm porridge.
Cooled, then the egg is added along with the grated, preferably strong cheese, finely chopped parsley and chopped, lightly browned onion. Salt to taste.
Everything is stirred into a smooth dough from which you make small meatballs, cooked in a little of the soup stock, or, if you wish, fried quite lightly.
