Crush the berries in a mortar or grind once, add the cold water and the tartaric acid dissolved in 2 dcl of water, and stir well.
Let the mixture stand for 2 days, stirring now and then.
Pour into a straining bag overnight.
Weigh the juice and add about half its weight, or preferably less, in sugar; stir for 1.5 hours without stopping.
Let stand for half an hour and skim off anything that floats to the top.
Fill into bottles and cork.
When the drink is to be used, mix 1 l of lingonberry cordial with 3 l of water.
Boil the pulp from the straining bag with 400 g of sugar per kg of pulp, put into a crock and tie down.
The pulp from the straining bag can be mixed with cooked carrots, rubbed through a colander and boiled with half its weight in sugar.
