A historic 1900 blackcurrant liqueur: crushed blackcurrants are steeped in rum for 14 days with daily stirring, the juice strained and mixed with a cooled sugar syrup of sugar and water.

Steep the berries in rum
Crush the cleaned blackcurrants and put them in a crock. Pour over the rum and let stand for 14 days. Stir every day.
Boil the sugar syrup
Put the sugar and water over the heat, let boil for 5 minutes and remove from the heat.
Mix
Strain the berry juice. Once the sugar syrup is well cooled, add the strained juice.
