Oat soup from 1900, the invalid-food chapter: oat flour is stirred out in cold water, boiling water is added, everything is simmered 5 min while stirring and seasoned with salt or sugar. Historic invalid food, not medical advice.

Stir out the flour
Stir the oat flour out with the cold water in a bowl to a smooth batter.
Add boiling water
Add the boiling water and pour everything into a pot.
Simmer
Let the soup simmer for 5 minutes while stirring constantly.
Season to taste
Season with salt or sugar.
