Boil the peas tender
Wash the peas and put them in a pot with cold water, enough to stand well above them. Let it boil slowly until the peas are tender, stirring the pot often.
Add the stock
Add the stock and let the soup simmer, covered, for about ½ hour.
Boil the celeriac
Wash the celeriac and boil it tender in the soup. Take it out, cut it into small squares and return it to the soup.
Serve
Small meatballs or small toasted cubes of white bread can also be served in the soup.
Tittelen normalisert til «Gule erter» (originalens «ærter»). «½ kg. splitærter» oppgitt som 500 g gule splitterter. «Franskbrødskiver» modernisert til loff/franskbrød. Priser fjernet. Fremgangsmåten beholdt tro mot originalen.
