Arrowroot milk from 1900, the invalid-food chapter: arrowroot flour is stirred out in cold milk, whisked into boiling milk and brought to the boil; served sweet or savory. Historic invalid food, not medical advice.

Heat the milk
Set the milk over the heat and bring it to the boil.
Stir out the flour
Stir the arrowroot flour out in a little cold milk to a smooth mixture.
Whisk in and boil
Whisk the stirred-out flour mixture into the hot milk and give it a good boil.
Serve
Serve with sugar or salt.
