Whisk eggs and sugar
Whisk the eggs and sugar airy and pale for about an hour, as for Honey Cake I.
Add honey, syrup and candied peel
Stir in the warmed honey, the syrup and the finely chopped candied peel.
Fold in the flour
Gently fold in the sifted flour last.
Bake
Pour into a well-greased and coated tin and bake for about 1½ hours in a good, hot oven.
