Mix the flour and stir in the lukewarm milk and dissolved yeast; let rise for 1 hour; work again thoroughly with the spices, the fat and a little more flour into a relatively firm dough.
Let rise for 0.5 hour and shape into approx. 6 loaves, which are placed in greased tins, left to rise for 0.5 hour and baked for a good hour at relatively low heat.
Alternatively, you can use equal parts pea flour, rye flour and wheat flour. For 1800 g flour, use 1 l milk or water, 100 g yeast and 1½ dl fat. If you have buttermilk, it is preferable, and the fat can then be omitted.
