Original 1900 recipe
Verbatim from the 1900 edition of the Cookbook for School and Home (Erken & Caroline Steen).

Aubin (1900 edition, p. 158) is a baked meat mould where butter, flour and milk are cooked into a roux, cooled and stirred with beaten eggs and finely chopped meat leftovers, poured into a greased mould and baked for about 45 min. A leftovers dish.

En sparsommelig kjøttform fra «Kogebog for skole og hjem» (1900), der rester av kokt kjøtt bindes i en smørjevnet eggerøre og bakes. Dette er en egen variant enn Aubin-oppskriften på side 157.
Make the roux
Melt the butter in a pot, stir in the flour and thin little by little with the milk. Bring it to a boil while stirring.
Cool and combine
Take the pot off the heat and let the batter cool. Then stir in the beaten eggs and the finely chopped, boiled meat.
Bake in the mould
Pour the mixture into a well-greased mould and bake in the oven for about 45 minutes until firm and golden.
