Macaroni pudding

Cook the macaroni
Heat the milk with the zest of half a lemon and the sugar. When it boils, add the macaroni broken into small pieces. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often.

Mix in the eggs
Let the mixture cool a little. Stir in the beaten eggs and the nutmeg.

Bake
Put the mixture in a buttered ovenproof dish and bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Serve with sugar.
