How to make it

  1. 1

    Boil the apples

Wash the apples and core them. Put them over the heat in an enamelled pot with enough boiling water to just cover them. Boil until tender, turning them often with a fork without piercing them.

  2. 2

    Peel

Boil until a skewer goes easily through the apples. Lift them onto a dish and peel them.

  3. 3

    Boil the sauce

Boil the cooking water down to 2 dl. Add the sugar, the orange juice and the washed peel. Boil down to a syrup.

  4. 4

    Serve

Pour the syrup around or over each apple on the serving dish, and garnish with stiffly whipped cream. Remove the orange peel from the sauce.
