Apple and orange compote

Boil the apples
Peel the apples and quarter them. Boil them as in the previous recipe (Apple compote), and let them go cold.

Prepare the oranges
Peel the oranges and remove all the white pith. Cut them across into about 6 slices and remove the pips. Sprinkle with sugar.

Arrange
Arrange the oranges and the cooked, cold apples neatly on a stand or glass dish. Pour the reduced, cold juice from the apples over.
