The English name "Rocks" points to the lumpy shape of the biscuits; the text says no more about its origin.
Whisk eggs and sugar
Whisk the eggs and sugar for 45 minutes.
Add the rest
Add the melted, cooled butter, the lemon oil, the blanched, chopped almonds, the flour mixed with the baking powder and the milk, and finally the cleaned, dried currants. Work everything together well but quickly.
Drop
Drop the mixture by teaspoon onto a greased tray.
Bake
Bake for 15-20 minutes in a moderate oven.
Measures converted (gr. = g). The milk, which is listed among the ingredients but not in the method, is added together with the flour. "Not too hot an oven" is kept without a temperature. The number of biscuits is an estimate.
