How to make it

Fill the apples
Core and peel the apples. Fill the hole in the middle with coarsely chopped stoned dates.

Bake
Put the apples in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle the sugar over and pour in the water. Bake in the oven until the apples are tender.

Serve
Serve with or without cream custard.
