Inexpensive coffee cookies from Erken 1914: light drop cookies made from a whisked egg-and-sugar base (6 eggs, 250 g sugar), 500 g flour, cinnamon, and baking powder, dropped by the teaspoon onto a tray and baked light golden brown.

A simple and "inexpensive" coffee cookie without butter - sugar, eggs, flour, and cinnamon were all it took. The page's two-column layout makes the amounts for flour and sugar partly illegible in the original; here they are set to the usual proportions of 1/2 kg flour and 1/4 kg sugar.
Whisk eggs and sugar
Whisk sugar and eggs light and thick for about 20 minutes (5-7 minutes with an electric mixer).
Fold in the dry ingredients
Mix the baking powder well into the flour and fold it into the egg-and-sugar base along with the cinnamon.
Drop onto the tray
Drop small dollops of the batter with a teaspoon onto a greased or parchment-lined baking tray, well spaced.
Bake
Bake the cookies light golden brown at about 180 °C (355 °F) for 8-10 minutes. Cool on a rack.
The amounts of flour and sugar are reconstructed from the usual proportions of the period (the original figures are incomplete in the source). Measurements are modernized to grams and tsp, and baking time/temperature is given.
