Stir the glaze
Stir the sifted icing sugar and the water together. Spread the glaze on the cakes with a knife dipped in hot water.

Put in the oven
Put the cakes in an open oven for 2 minutes after the glaze has been spread on.

Storing
If the glaze is to stand until the next day, lay a damp cloth over it. This keeps it from setting too hard.
