Frequently asked questions

How do I make stuffed dates?
Rinse the dates, remove the pits and place a thin strip of marzipan in the cavity, so that half of the marzipan is visible. Then roll the dates in granulated sugar.
How long does it take, and how much do I get?
The recipe takes about 20 minutes and makes around 20 pieces.
Where does the recipe come from?
From Henriette Schønberg Erken's "Stor kokebok" from 1914, page 629, in the chapter on confections and marzipan.
Does the marzipan have to be completely hidden inside the dates?
No, according to the original recipe the marzipan strip should be placed so that half is visible – this gives the confection a decorative look.
