One of several simple recipes for home-brewed beer in the chapter on winemaking and liqueurs. Here store-bought bock beer and Bavarian beer are used as a base, diluted with water and set to ferment with sugar and yeast by the warmth of the stove.
Mix everything
Mix the bock beer, Bavarian beer, water and sugar in a large crock or bucket. Stir the yeast into a little lukewarm beer and mix it in.
Let stand in a warm place
Place the covered crock in a warm spot (by the stove) for 1 day.
Skim
Skim off well all the foam that has settled on the surface.
Bottle
Bottle the beer in clean bottles, cork them well and store them cool.
Bottles converted to about 0.75 l per bottle, grams and liters kept. Specified in the steps that the beer should stand warm (about 20 °C (70 °F)) and that the bottles should be stored cool.
