From the chapter on drying fruit, roots, and vegetables in Stor kokebok (1914). The drying apparatus was a drying oven with several shelves where the warmest spot was at the top.

How to make it

    Prepare the berries

    Use only fresh, flawless blueberries. Carefully pick them clean of leaves and debris.

    Air dry

    Let the berries air dry or sun dry for 3 days.

    Finish in the drying oven

    Place the berries on the top shelf of the drying oven and dry them for 4 to 6 hours.
