Frequently asked questions

Where does this recipe come from?
It is taken from Henriette Schønberg Erken's "Stor kokebok" from 1914, page 659, from the chapter on care of the sick and food for the sick.
How do I make it?
Combine 1/4 liter milk, 5 grams cocoa and 2 teaspoons sugar, and whisk the mixture over the heat until it boils. It takes only a few minutes.
How much does the recipe make?
It is calculated for one serving, that is 1/4 liter (about 2.5 dl) of cocoa milk.
Why should you whisk along the way?
The whisking dissolves the cocoa in the milk so the drink becomes smooth and free of lumps, and prevents the milk from scorching or forming a skin before it boils.
