Original 1914 recipe
Verbatim from the first edition of the Big Cookbook.

Cinnamon sugar from Erken 1914, made like vanilla sugar: an approximately 15 cm cinnamon stick is dried a little, pounded with 60 g sugar and sifted; the rest is pounded with 30 g sugar and sifted again.

The last of the aromatic sugars in the section «Sugar for flavoring» in «Stor kokebok» (1914). Erken refers to the method for vanilla sugar.
Dry the cinnamon
Dry the cinnamon stick a little, and break or cut it into small pieces.
Pound with sugar
Pound the cinnamon pieces together with 60 g sugar and sift the mixture.
Pound the rest
Pound whatever is left in the sieve again with 30 g sugar and sift once more.
Store
Put the cinnamon sugar in well-sealed jars or tins and store it in a dry place.
The reference to vanilla sugar has been written out with the same quantities and steps; measurements are given in modern units.
