How to make it

  1. 1

    Peel the apples

Wash and dry the apples. Peel them lengthwise with a root knife, halve them and remove the cores.

  2. 2

    Make the apple water

Put the peels on with enough water to stand well above them and boil for 15–20 minutes. Strain off the peels.

  3. 3

    Cook the apples

When the water boils again, add 25 g sugar for each ½ l of apple water. Cook the peeled apples in this until tender. Test with a silver fork. Lift the apples out as they are done.

  4. 4

    Boil down the juice

Boil the juice down for 5 minutes. The apples are also very good with roast turkey, goose and duck.
