Revised 1949 recipe
From the revised edition of the Big Cookbook.

Sandwich with roast beef, cucumber and meat jelly; the bread slice must be completely covered, and the roast is cut thinly across the grain from one whole piece. From Erken's Stor kokebok (1949), p. 682.

The entry is more a piece of advice on craft than a recipe: the topping should cover the whole slice and the meat be cut cleanly.
Slice the roast
Cut the roast across the grain and thinly, preferably from as whole a piece of meat as possible, that is, not divided by membranes.
Top the bread
Cover the buttered slice of bread completely with the topping. Add cucumber and meat jelly.
The text gives no quantities or toppings beyond the name; cucumber and meat jelly appear only in the title.
