About the dish

A sweet raw salad with fruit and raisins is one of several variants in the raw-vegetable section of the book.

How to make it

  1. 1

    Chop and slice

Chop the carrots and slice the apples finely, in equal parts.

  2. 2

    Mix

Mix carrot and apple with raisins and chopped nuts.

  3. 3

    Fold in mayonnaise

Sprinkle with lemon juice and mix gently with mayonnaise.

Changes from the original

The original states only 'equal parts' of carrot and apple; other amounts are not given. The lemon juice stops the apple from browning.
